The do’s and don’ts of hat care

You have purchased a beautiful hat. Here’s a few tips to make it last well for many years:

Ö      DO store it in a hat box.

Ö      DO support the brim with plenty of clean tissue paper.

Ö      DO brush with a good clothes brush to remove dust.

Ö      DO treat according to fibre content.

C     Don’t get it wet- it will likely shrink, get misshapen.. we recommend drying it off with a clean absorbent cloth)

C     Don’t leave it in the hot car – it might fade and distort.

C Don’t take it on and off by the brim or pinch the crown. ..we recommend supporting under the hat at the head fit.

C     Don’t dry clean – we recommend hand washing cotton hats, and brushing felt hats.

In case of a mishap and misshaping, never fear

 you can take it back to your favourite milliner for a rejuvenation and restoration!
